Back to school means back to books, friends, dorms, and, of course, college food. However, back to school does not have to mean back to unhealthy eating habits. In between meals, these 20 healthy dorm snacks will keep you satisfied without breaking your New Year’s Resolutions of eating clean. Bonus: none of these dorm snacks require any cooking on your part! Most of these items are sold by various brands; with the brands linked being my favorites. Feel free to experiment and find your favorite brands and flavors!

Last, but certainly not least, Halo Top is a great late-night dorm snack and much less heavy than regular ice cream.
And that’s a wrap! Remember that, while there are great alternatives nowadays to junk food, it is important to treat yourself to “real” cookies, ice cream, potato chips whenever you please. It’s completely fine to eat anything, as long as it is in moderation. For snacks that are not already portioned out, I try to pour them into a bowl beforehand so that I do not eat too much. Otherwise, I might eat the whole bag in one sitting. Portion control and letting yourself have the freedom to eat whatever you want from time to time are key. Here’s to a healthy and happy 2020!
