Last week, Spoon Texas hosted Australia-native The Blender Girl for a Monday-funday snack fest. West Campus residents filled up the Greengo’s backyard beer garden, picking up giveaway prizes and grabbing up smoothie samples as fast as you could say “gogi berry”.

The Blender Girl brought a lot of healthy and original smoothies for us to try, with recipes using everything from turmeric to beets to jalapeño.

And let me tell you, these smoothies were DANK. Though it may be the first official week of fall, it is still 95°F and humid in Austin, Texas, and the fall-festive Chai Tai Smoothie provided a great option for attendees to cool off while looking ahead to the season of spice.
