As a self-proclaimed cereal killer, I can’t say I’m mad about the surplus of cereal-based foods around New York City. There are cereal ice cream cones, cereal doughnuts, and even cereal breaded chicken. Cereal and milk is morning classic, but that doesn’t mean it can’t have cool cousins in bakeries and restaurants across the city. It’s cereal madness out here, and I’m not complaining. But I do have favorites.

Who knew the Little Cupcake Bakeshop made ice cream? Friends don’t let friends go to Little Cupcake Bakeshop and not order ice cream. I kid. But their homemade ice cream Fruity Pebbles cones are no joke.
Queen’s Comfort

Located in the far away borough of Queens, there exists a magical restaurant called Queen’s Comfort. Among a plethora of delicious menu options rests the Capt’n Crunch Chicken Fingers with red chili bacon caramel sauce. Crunchitize me capt’n!
Doughnuttery

Combining two of the world’s greatest breakfast items—doughnuts and cereal— is the greatest value proposition ever created. Doughnuttery does just that by offering Fruity Pebble cereal and sugar dusted mini doughnuts.
Emack & Bolio’s

Ice cream in a cone is so much more satisfying than ice cream in a cup. Add cereal to that cone and you simply can not go wrong. Emack and Bolio’s has been making flavored cones since long before anyone in our generation came around, and they top their cones with everything from sprinkles, to Oreos, to the best choice of all: cereal.
Momofuku Milk Bar

This list would be incomplete without the iconic cereal milk soft serve from the Momufoku restaurants’ sister bakery, Milk Bar. It’s made with milk, corn flakes, brown sugar and a pinch of salt which makes the flavor almost identical to the milk left behind in your cereal bowl.
Schmackary’s

Known for their “lip schmackin’ good cookies,” Schmackary’s serves up a ton of cereal based treats. Their Cereal Killer cookie is topped with, you guessed it, cereal—but they also serve an array of cereal-based Krispie Treats. Flavors range from Lucky Charms to Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
