We moved a lot when I was a kid
California
Not in the US
Somewhere above the Mason-Dixon line
The best place in the world – the South
I’m originally a Yankee but consider myself a Southerner

Fall – colorful leaves, the crisp air, Halloween
Spring – flowers, rain showers, Spring Break!
A season where the temp isn’t above 90 or below 32 degrees
Winter – beautiful white snow, hot cocoa, wool blankets
Um…all of them?
Any time I can enjoy nice weather
Summer – sunshine, beach time, barefoot, lazy days

It was weird at first but now I love everything Southern
“Y’all”
“Ain’t” … ’cause “ain’t” ain’t a word!
Everything in the South is weird
Always saying “yes sir” & “yes ma’am”
Frying EVERYTHING
Strange? This is how I was raised!

I try not to think about my childhood.
My childhood isn’t over yet!
Wandering around big cities
Going on adventures with friends
Learning to drive in an open field.
Celebrating holidays with family
Shuckin’ corn with my grandparents

Giggin’ frogs
Star gazing in the back of a pick-up truck
Midnight walk on the beach
Cow tippin’
Muddin’ in my four-wheeler
Sleeping
Having a jam session on the front porch: banjo, fiddle & harmonica
