Even though very few of us actually watched Friends while it was on TV, this show has become extremely popular with our generation. Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey, and Ross are the ultimate squad goals, and we all wish Central Perk wasn’t fictitious.
I’ve seen every Friends episode at least five times (there are 236 of them in total), so you could say I’m a fan. Here are some Friends GIFs to bring a little humor to your daily encounters with food.
When you’re just a lil’ hangry
Happens to the best of us. It’s amazing how quickly food can improve your mood when you’re feeling particularly irritable.
When you don’t have to justify all your chocolate-eating
No judgments, please. If you’re gonna feel better lying in bed with a Hershey’s chocolate bar, by all means go for it. Check out which foods fight PMS and cramps.
When you have to figure out where to go for dinner
Probably one of the hardest decisions that I’m faced with on a daily basis is “What do I want to eat?” When you’re getting a group together for dinner, good luck deciding on a place to go. Learn which food your state is famous for here and maybe you’ll be inspired.
When you make a killer margarita
“Oh wow.” Grab your salt, limes, tequila, and blender. If you’re on a budget or simply love Costco (like I do), master the Costco margarita with this simple recipe.
When you think about how much you ate over vacation
Being home from college means access to a fully stocked kitchen and home-cooked meals. It’s easy to overeat, especially around the holidays. Sometimes you just have to treat yo’self.
When your friend asks for a fry
Maybe it’s just me, but I do not share my fries. I always have to eat at least one fry before the entree of my meal, and I make sure to save some for the end, too. If you wanted fries, you should’ve ordered your own.
#SpoonTip: Master these homemade fries recipes or shake it up and turn it back to your childhood with some smiley face fries.
When you exploit people in the interest of food
Sometimes it just has to be done. Take a lesson from Phoebe and understand that even if your date sucked, you probably got some free food out of it.
When your friends insist on socializing before ordering
There’s plenty of time to talk while the chefs are busy whipping up your meal, so there’s no reason not to zone in and check out the menu ASAP.
When you mess up a recipe
Sometimes recipes can be hard to follow. There are too many ingredients and too many instructions, so it’s easy to get frustrated. Try these 2-ingredient pumpkin muffins — I promise you won’t mess them up.
When you order takeout from your favorite restaurant
Everyone loves a relaxing night in with some pizza, Chinese food, Indian food — you name it. Go for the “Joey special” and order two pizzas if you’re feeling bold. While you’re thinking about pizza, be sure to check out this list of the different ways you should be eating it.
When someone calls you out for how much food you ate
Eat until you’re hungry, and then eat some more. Take a line from Mean Girls, and “don’t let the haters stop you from doing your thang.”
When you’re asked to help clean up after a meal
Ok, so maybe this is your gut reaction, but you should always help clean up. Especially if you weren’t the one laboring over the cooking, you should offer a lending hand.
When you’re running late for your reservations
Wow, this is a pet peeve of mine. The restaurant is expecting you, so, ya know, you should get there when you said you would. Once you finally make it there, check out these dining tips to make your restaurant experience better.
When the restaurant messes up your food
“That’s not what I ordered.” As long as you ask politely, restaurants should be more than willing to correct any mistakes made at their end.
When someone offers to buy you food
Free food? Yes, please. These are the kind of people you want to keep in your life for sure.
When someone cuts you in line
The line is there for a reason, buddy. It can be stressful when the place is crowded and/or the service is slow when you’re in a rush, so just always plan to leave extra time for lines.
When you eat more than your half of the shared dessert
Whoever eats the fastest gets the most, right? While your mind is on desserts, find out the best dessert in your state here.
When you find out your roommate ate your leftovers
It’s a sad day when your fridge leftovers disappear. On the ideal chance that your leftovers are still there the next morning, try one of these recipes to repurpose them
When you prep for a big meal
Loosening the belt during a big meal is a real struggle — I’ve been there, for sure. When you know you’ll be eating a lot, why not opt for a stretchier clothing option?
When you get creative with your snacks
Peanut butter is bomb. By itself, or in these no-bake chocolate bars, you can’t go wrong. Check out how to eat more peanut butter every day.
When you’re told not to spoil your appetite, but you DGAF
I snack at all times during the day. I’ll seriously grab a handful of cereal on my way out the door to dinner. Sometimes the food is just calling for you.
And finally, when someone asks if you want food
Every time.
