Prepare for ‘Despicable Me 4’ By Eating Minion Nuggets

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Rutgers chapter.

As a huge fan of the Despicable Me franchise and chicken nuggets, I needed to buy the bag when I spotted these minion-shaped nuggets at Walmart.

The first look of the nuggets compared to the design of the bag was a little different. Kevin’s minion shape was more defined to look like a minion, but unfortunately, Bob’s shape felt more like a blob than Bob’s. Kevin felt like a minion, but because Bob is shorter, he didn’t have the full body shape to have the nugget executed to look like a minion. But even with the shape not being fully defined, the nuggets tasted amazing when cooked in the air fryer.

You can cook them in the air fryer, conventional oven, or a microwave. I first chose the oven to cook them. I followed the instructions, but they seemed to need a few extra minutes, so I cooked them for 5 minutes. Each one was cooked fully when they were finished, but the breading was not as crispy as I prefer. Some of the breading was easy to come off, as when I picked it up, I kept accidentally brushing the breading off them.

So this led me to believe either cooking the nuggets in the oven was the wrong cooking option or these nuggets just weren’t that good. The answer is that these nuggets deserve to be cooked in an air fryer, not the oven.

All subsequent times cooking the nuggets, I chose the air fryer, and this was the better choice than the oven. The breading was crispy, and it tasted just how a nugget should be.

If you have kids at home or are a kid at heart, stop by your local store to pick up a bag of these minion nuggets because if I see them in stores again, I will add them to my cart and purchase a few bags.
