Best Create Your Own Bowls From Restaurants Near Rutgers

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Rutgers chapter.

I’m all about those bowls packed with a mix of sauces, veggies, and protein. Being a college student, I get the convenience of a well-rounded bowl that covers all your nutritional needs in one go. Not only are create-your-own bowls delicious, but they’re also super nutritious.

Since my move to New Jersey, I’ve had the pleasure of trying out a few bowls that have won my heart, and I can’t wait to recommend them to you. No specific order, here they are:

Tacoria

I’m obsessed with the variety of options available here. It’s not just about the diverse Mexican flavors Tacoria offers but also the range of proteins you can choose from. If I were to make a recommendation, it would undoubtedly be the “Golden Avocado” with the delectable Chipotle Aioli sauce, especially for those looking to savor a burrito box. Oh my goodness! Words can hardly do it justice. It is an explosion of flavors that blankets your taste buds with the most comforting sensations imaginable.

Hummus Republic

Being a passionate enthusiast of Mediterranean food, I had to try this hidden gem when I found it. You can add a variety of colorful vegetables, protein sources, and those delicious falafels as you assemble your dish. And that’s only the start! For me, this restaurant’s wide variety of hummus flavors is what makes it stand out. The best part is that Hummus Republic has six delicious dips to choose from, and you can select three different kinds of hummus. But choosing your sauces is where the real magic happens. Its sauce selection ranges from extremely hot to mild and all points in between, so you can tailor your meal to your personal preferences. It’s a flavor-packed journey that will leave your taste buds tingling with delight.

Salad House

It might be difficult to find a salad that perfectly balances flavor and nutrition. That is precisely the reason I return to the Salad House time and time again. Here’s where the magic happens: you get to create your salad masterpiece that is complete with a selection of fruits, vegetables, proteins, and dressings.

I have to admit that the apple cider vinaigrette dressing is one of my favorite things ever. It’s revolutionary because each bite is enhanced with a burst of tangy sweetness. I promise that anyone who visits this location has to try it.
