Baby’s
Baby’s Bugers and Shakes is one of the best spots to eat in State College. It’s the only place you can get 1/2 priced milkshake on Mondays. It has a spiffy 50s diner style decor, a juke-box, and some of the most delectable burgers around. Their best meal choice: the “Whimpy” basket which is two short but sweet burgers with fries. For dessert: the “Teeny Weeny” which is the tiniest sundae around for only 99 cents.
Famous Ernie’s Steaks
With a large population of loyal Philadelphians to cater to, Ernie’s excels in the cheese steak game. Whether you order one from their Beaver Ave. storefront or munch on one while enjoying some live music at the Phyrst, they are the perfect addition to any late night meal. Ernie’s also has some of the best fries in town, $4 for a plate and $6 for an entire monstrous tray (perfect for the college-kid-budget). Feeling fancy? Erine’s steaks are also available at their sister restaurant Local Whisky (Commonly known as the Second) and offer the same price food joined with a classier atmosphere.
Little Szechuan
Looking for the best Chinese food in State College? This is the place to go. From egg rolls to fried rice, they have it all–and they deliver. Their General Tso’s chicken continues to be a customer favorite.
India Pavilion
Tucked away on Calder Alley is one of State College’s best-kept secrets. India Pavilion is the leader in some of the best authentic Indian cuisine in the area for years. It’s no secret that their superior service and reasonable prices continue to bring in the loyal costumers. If the $8.95 endless six-course lunch buffet doesn’t already have you hooked then the all you can eat (life changing) naan bread will have you coming back for regular visits.
Bradley’s Cheesesteaks and Hoagies
There’s a little bit of competition in the Cheesesteak market around the corner on Pugh street. Although Bradley’s is commonly known for their steaks and hoagies, we’re here to shine a light on some of the more hidden items that make this place raise above the other sandwich shops. Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese for only $3.99! Just let all of this cheesy goodness sink in.
If you’re hungry like the wolf, go to one (or all if you’re bottomless) of these amazing eateries in State College and get full Nittany Lion style!
