Homemade Pickled Lemons

A gigantic Pot, ingredients you cant even pronounce, Sterilization, Vinegar and Oil, GALORE! Whatever shooed you away from the Art of pickle making ain’t an obstacle any more. Forget whatever you’ve been told. Pretty much anything that fits in a jar can probably be pickled. This recipe is simple as that. So, pull up your sleeves and dust off those mason jars cause we have just the right recipe to cast away your fear of Pickling. Here’s a step-by- step Recipe of ‘Homemade pickled Lemons’ which will kick start your passion for pickling.  

Homemade pickled Lemons

  1. Krisha Joshi
    Wash the Lemons under running water and wipe them dry.
  2. Krisha Joshi
    Cut the tiny dollops of sunshine into wedges. Preferably 8 wedges per Lemon.
  3. Krisha Joshi
    In a bowl, mix Red Chilly powder, Sugar, Salt, Black salt, Caraway seeds and Black Pepper. Add in the Lemons. Mix until the lemon is evenly coated with the spice mixture.
  4. Krisha Joshi
    Transfer into a mason jar. Preserve for 24 days.

Serve your homemade pickled Lemons with boiled rice or Indian bread. It tastes just as Scrumptious on its own 🙂
