An Unofficial Guide to Drinking Around the World in Epcot

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Ole Miss chapter.

There is no better way to spend a day than day drinking through Epcot’s World Showcase. If you’re anything like me, you look at all of the drink options and are instantly overwhelmed. I asked around and researched carefully to come up with this unofficial guide to drinking around the world in Epcot.

Mexico: Avocado Margarita

All of my friends are always raving about the avocado margarita at La Cava del Tequila, and I can’t blame them. It’s completely worth every bit of the hype. You can enjoy this drink for $13.50.

Norway: Viking Coffee

I’ve heard at time or two that the drinks in Norway pale in comparison to the other countries in the World Showcase. These people obviously haven’t tried the Viking Coffee at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe. It’s coffee flavored with Kamora Coffee Liqueur and Baileys Irish Cream. It will cost $10.25.

China: Tipsy Ducks in Love

Found at the Joy of Tea stand in China is the Tipsy Ducks in Love drink. For $8.95, you can enjoy this blend of bourbon whisky, coffee, black tea, cream, and chocolate syrup.

African Trading Post: The Frozen Elephant

Located just between China and Germany is the African Trading Post. It’s easy to miss, so be sure to keep an eye out. The drink to try here is the Frozen Elephant. It is a mixture of frozen Coca-Cola and Amarula Cream Liquor. It’s the perfect drink to enjoy on a hot summer day. This yummy drink is $11.00.

Germany: Grapefruit Beer

Though the technical name is Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen, you can say “grapefruit beer” at Sommerfest, and the cast members will know exactly what you’re talking about. This is my personal favorite drink in Epcot, and it is completely worth the $9.25.

Italy: Bellini

When in Italy, you have to try a bellini at Tutto Italia Ristorante. It is a refreshing blend of prosecco and peach purée. This is one of the more expensive drinks on the list for $13.00.

American Pavilion: Red Stag Lemonade

Congratulations, you have officially made it halfway through the world showcase. At Fife and Drum in the America Pavilion, you will find Red Stag Lemonade. This is frozen lemonade made with Red Stag black cheery bourbon. A Red Stag Lemonade is $11.00.

Japan: Frozen Kirin

This is another country where a beer is the goto. Found at Katsura Grill in the Japan Pavilion is Frozen Kirin. You can get it for $8.00 which makes it the least expensive drink on the list.

Morocco: Andalusian Nights

When it comes to drinking in Morocco, there are so many drink options. At Spice Road Table, you’ll find Andalusian Nights. It is a blend of apricot brandy, Myer’s dark rum, orange juice, and piña colada mix. It’s $12.99.

France: Grand Marnier Orange Slush

This is one of my favorite drinks in Disney. The Grand Marnier Orange Slush can be found at Les Vins des Chefs de France. It is a delicious blend of Grand Marnier, rum, Grey Goose Orange, and orange juice. This is one of the less expensive ones for $9.86.

Canada: Crown Royal Maple

You can’t miss the Crown Royal Maple Whiskey in Canada. It can be found at the Popcorn stop in the Canada Pavilion. It’s $10.00 and pairs perfectly with the popcorn that the stand is named after.

United Kingdom: Welsh Dragon

Found at the Rose & Crown Pub, the Welsh Dragon is a blend of peach schnapps, melon liqeur, Créme de Menthe, orange juice, and pineapple. Did I mention that it is served in a souvenir cup and only $11.25?

Congratulations – you have finished drinking around the world in Epcot. Remember that it is important to always stay hydrated and drink responsibly. I’ll see you in Mexico.
