There are more restaurants than any of us can imagine around Washington Square Park, but sometimes we just don’t know where to go for lunch. Whether you have 15 minutes or an hour to spare, here is a guide to a few options for where to eat between classes:
15 minutes
With only 15 minutes between classes, pop into Space Market for a bagel or a few pieces of sushi. The market offers a solid selection of fresh produce, snacks and hot food. Remember to show your NYU ID at the checkout, as they offer a great student discount. There may be a long line at peak hours, but it’s always moving.

Dos Toros Taqueria, Mille-Feuille Bakery Café and Go! Go! Curry are great options to either grab something to go or sit down for a quick bite.
You can never go wrong with Dos Toros’ braised pork or grilled chicken burritos. Five minutes away from Washington Square Park, the local taqueria uses fresh and local produces – can it get any better?
Other than the scrumptious French pastries, Mille-Feuille also offers a few sandwich and quiche options. Chicken curry and the vegetarian are two of their most popular sandwiches.
Go! Go! Curry is a quick stop for steamy hot Japanese curry. The freshly fried pork katsu is complemented by Japanese curry with a tint of sweetness and round, fluffy rice. It is a great comfort food on a cold day. Go!

For students with a bit more time, there are a few cute and delicious restaurants nearby in the West Village.
Palma is an organic Italian restaurant with delicious food. Its homemade beef and veal meatballs, Italian burger and fresh tomato Orecchiette are all standouts. Palma also has a beautiful garden in the back, so take advantage of that before it gets too cold.
Risotteria is an Italian gluten-free heaven! From the salad to the risotto, everything is healthy AND delicious.
These are great options if you and your friends want to sit down and catch up.
