Remember when we wrote about our favorite Kickstarter project, Pasta Flyer? It got funded! Now the startup pasta concept is hitting the West Village with a pop-up eatery, only in town from the 18th to the 20th. If you haven’t had the pleasure of tasting Chef Mark Ladner’s game-changing pasta at Del Posto, this is your chance. The pop-up shop, located at 7 Cornelia St., will be serving up Chef Ladner’s (wait for it)… made-to-order, Italian-meets-ramen-style gluten-free pasta bowls. Seriously. Forget the gummy, sad gluten-free pasta experiences of your past – this stuff is truly a gift from the carb gods. The process is simple: pick your shape (elbows, screws or tubes), sauce (porcina crema, garlicky pesto or tomato marinara) and add a protein if you’re feeling it (soft egg, meatballs, smoky bacon). The best part? In the spirit of fast-casual dining, dinner is served for only $12. So go ahead, treat yourself to a glass of wine. While you’re at it, give the gelato sandwich a try. Happy holidays to you.
Chef Ladner is one of the most renowned, creative people in the fine-dining industry, and he also happens to be a really cool guy. Stop by the pop-up and prepare yourself for a pasta experience like you’ve never imagined possible: Del Posto-quality dishes at street food prices, made miraculously allergen-free. Order up!
