As people spend longer nights at Bobst studying for their midterm exams, NYU Spoon wonders what snacks could possibly keep them going? What kind of food is fueling their brains? Spoon decided to ask five students at Bobst on a Sunday night what they nibble on when they study. Perhaps some of their favorite snacks will inspire you to study (or snack) a little harder.

“Haribo”
“Which kind?”
“Regular gummy bears.”
“Do you have a favorite flavor? I like the transparent ones.”
“Yea, the pineapple flavored ones are my favorite too. Oh and the bite-sized chocolate covered bacon, the very tiny ones.”
Caitie Hawthorne, Dramatic Writing and Journalism, Tisch
“Let me think… salted rice cakes with peanut butter.”
“Interesting.”
“You can find the rice cakes at Wholefoods and they also have little packets of peanut butter. So this way you can have both sodium and protein. Oh and you can put raisins on it too.”
Kevin Beerman, Comparative Literature and American Studies, CAS
“I don’t eat anything fancy. I usually just have the Trader Joe’s Trek Mix. The one with cashews and dried cranberries.”
Jason Leung, Computer Science and Economics, CAS
“Chips.”

“The ones from Kettle. The sea salt potato chips.”
Joe Kozlowski, Sports Journalism, Gallatin
