The what and where:
Intro is Chicago’s newest concept restaurant. Located in the Lincoln Park space that used to be L2O, it features a new chef every two to three months. This chef completely transforms the restaurant with his or her own unique concept and menu.

The who:
Top chef alum Chef CJ Jacobson is up first, combining local ingredients with the California flavors he highlights in his restaurant back home. Make sure to go hungry — you’ll be served a five-course prix-fixe meal. This renowned chef is collaborating with Rich Melman and the Lettuce Entertain You (the team behind Chicago restaurants like Everest, Cafe Ba-ba-Reeba, and Wildfire).

The when:
If you want a meal cooked by none other than the Top Chef star himself, head into Chicago before the end of April.
The how:
This is when you may find yourself wondering if you’re going to a concert or a restaurant. Instead of picking up the phone to make a reservation, you buy tickets online here. Be warned, a meal at Intro isn’t cheap. Ticket prices range from $65-95 per person (pro tip: ticket prices are cheapest on weeknights at earlier and later times, so you’re best off avoiding the 7 PM surge).
Intro hopes to be the first of many similar concept restaurants, so try it out if you want to be up on the latest Chicago dining trends.
