Nobody can deny the warm and cozy feeling of curling up with a hot beverage during the winter months. Now that it’s spring, it’s time to ditch those steaming drinks for their cooler counterparts. Read on for four of your favorite hot drinks revamped for those warm, sunny days.
1. Iced Coffee
While cold-brew coffeemakers exist, they cost money us college students would rather not spend. Just brew coffee, let it cool and then pour it over ice. A freezer can help speed up the cooling process if you’re impatient and needing caffeine, like, now.
2. Iced Tea
Here’s how to make iced tea without using a pricey iced tea maker: steep your favorite tea into hot water, let it cool, then pour it over ice. Stir in some sugar and lemonade for an extra spring-y feel.
3. Iced Chai Tea Latte
Chai tea lattes consist of two parts: tea and milk. Easier than you thought, huh? Steep chai tea and then mix it with equal parts milk. Pour over ice and stir in extra spices (like cloves, cinnamon or nutmeg) if desired.
4. Frozen Hot Chocolate
Basically a chocolate milkshake, but arguably healthier. Combine 1 cup milk, 1 cup ice and 2 packets or servings hot cocoa mix in a blender until smooth and thoroughly mixed. Add in chocolate syrup or top with mini-marshmallows or whipped cream.
