One visit to these Asian owned cafes will quickly make them your new go-to study spot. From matcha lattes to boba, these cafes are a one stop shop for drinks with an Asian palate, small bites, and study seating.

1. Ogawa Coffee

The first US location of a Kyoto based chain that serves coffee shipped from Japan with an emphasis on latte art. This bright cafe with floor to ceiling windows and small bites is the perfect spot to cozy up with a hojicha latte.

2. Maruichi Select

A cafe, Japanese store, and deli wrapped up into one, Maruichi is one of the best spots for a quality matcha in Boston. Enjoy your drink on their tatami mat seating, enjoy a bite of Japanese curry, or even pick up some onigiris for your study snack.

3. Lime Red Teahouse

A cozy boba store filled with couches and cute wall decor, this cafe is arguably the best study spot. Even better, their drinks are made with fresh tea and real ingredients. Their most popular items are the milk teas, made with Assam tea imported from India, fragrant jasmine tea, and Thai tea with its amazing hint of spices.

5. Grenhaus Cafe

This Vietnamese family-owned cafe sells both coffee and plants, providing a slice of Vietnam’s coffee culture and vibrance to the Mission Hill community. Besides serving coffee, Grenhaus Cafe is a great spot for brunch or a small bite.

6. Moon Flower House

Fried chicken and boba might be the best combination in existence, but while having free wifi? Moon Flower House in Allston might as well be heaven! Boba and Chinese style bites is paired with their large cozy couch seating for another great study spot.

A visit to any of these cafes provides support to the Asian community while also being an amazing study or spot to relax—that’s a win-win!
