9 Food Brands You’re Probably Pronouncing Wrong

What if you realized that you’ve been pronouncing some of your favorite food brands wrong this whole time?

Some food brands do like to get fancy. In fact, many of these names have and sometimes still do occasionally trip me up when I run across them. So to avoid the mistakes I’ve made, test yourself on how many of these nine common food brands you have been pronouncing wrong. Although it may look simple, some of them are suprisingly tricky.

1. Toblerone

How it should be pronounced: toe-bler-OWN

Now you’ll know how to pronounce this triangular Swiss chocolate that is legendary in Europe.

2. Nutella

How it should be pronounced: NEW-tell-uh

Though this may be one of the many facts all Nutella addicts should know, it has actually been an ongoing debate that still drives everyone nuts. However, in my opinion, no matter how it’s pronounced, I’ll still be happy as long as I have a jar and a spoon.

3. Sriracha

How it should be pronounced: see-ROTCH-ah

Because it’s important to know how to pronounce something we basically put on everything.

4. Au Bon Pain

How it should be pronounced: OH-bon-PAN

Au Bon Pain may be the go-to spot for many people, but you’d actually be surprised at how many people pronounce it wrong.

5. FAGE

Greek yogurt’s gotten far more popular than regular yogurt, so FAGE’s now a staple. The name’s not as simple as it looks, right?

6. Ferrero Rocher
