Moscow Mules are having a comeback. The combination of crisp ginger beer, tart lime, and vodka (or the alcohol of your choice), makes for a refreshing cocktail. Not to mention, it’s served in a copper mug, which will make you feel trendy AF.
The Moscow Mule keeps popping up in conversation and on cocktail menus everywhere, with their own twist on the classic recipe. Based on the continuous demand from the bars and restaurants I visited, this old school drink is having its come back and it’s back for good. Here’s where to find the best Moscow Mules in Miami, each with its own twist.
1. Redbar
An underrated bar tucked away in Brickell, Redbar is a trendy bar/lounge with dim lighting, known for always playing deep house music and for providing a party like atmosphere.
2. Toro Toro
Inside the swanky Inter-Continental, Toro Toro has a young, hip atmosphere serving up tapas and handcrafted cocktails. The fresh lime juice in this Moscow Mule really makes it.
3. Bulla
A tapas-style restaurant in the heart of Coral Gables, Bulla has a trendy setting, with an open door atmosphere. The addition of cardamom and currant syrup set this Mule apart from the rest.
4. The Bar Next Door
Fun fact: The Bar Next Door is owned by the same people as Wood Tavern. The bar next door is serving up craft cocktails, along with beer in a laid-back setting. It has a different feel than Wood, as it has stained-glass lighting fixtures and a graffiti-painted ceiling. They serve a Burro de Jalisco (a variation on a Moscow Mule) with Cazadores tequila, Del Maguey Vida mezcal, lime, agave nectar and Goslings ginger beer.
