WATCH: This Video Explains the Difference Between Porn and Real Sex Using Food

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Miami chapter.

Whether or not people are sexually active or have watched porn, it’s a well-known fact that porn sets an unrealistic expectation when it comes to sex. Whether it’s the cliche stories that the videos are based on, or the impressive sizes of you know what (size does matter, c’mon), you know it’s all just setting our expectations way too high to the point where we’ll inevitably be disappointed in one way or another.

This hilarious video uses food to talk about the expectation vs. reality of porn sex vs. real sex.

Size

The average porn star penis is 6-9 inches vs. the American average of 5-7 inches. The age old question is “does size matter?” I mean, why do you think people pay more for giant slices of pizza? I’ll let that one simmer.

Hair

In the videos, what you’ll see are well-groomed private areas, while in reality, 65% of women and 85% of men have hair down there.

Vaginas

Online they’ll all look the same, but we know that can’t be the case. Vaginas come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.

Arousal Time

On average, it takes about 10-12 minutes to get aroused. We ain’t no toasters. It takes a bit more like a couple of minutes to fully get the engine going, ya feel?

Orgasms

While it takes the average man three minutes to ejaculate, us girls aren’t so lucky. Despite what porn will show you, 71% of women don’t orgasm from penetration alone. Sorry to break it to you, but she’s most likely faking it. Fake it ’til ya make it, kids. But, if you need some help, check out these tips.

Anal

40% of American women have tried anal. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty shocked by how high of a percentage that is.

Bondage

Turns out that 40% of people have tried light bondage, so that may actually be closer to the porn reality than we thought. Stay kinky, friends.
