In January, the long awaited Fridge & Pantry finally opened up in our small town of Oxford. Fridge & Pantry is a grocery store & deli founded by two partners, Steve Thomas and Cody Constanzo, along with Mark Weisman, part owner of Brick Street and Will’s Pizza.. Thomas and Constanzo are Miami grads; Thomas is a part owner of Seaview Outfitters Uptown, and both also own Root Yoga.
They came up with the plan for Fridge & Pantry a few years ago, when they realized there was a “void uptown”, in that if a student didn’t have a car, it was difficult to get groceries. They wanted their place to be more than just a regular grocery store. The store has wood detailing throughout the store, representing their strong foundation. You’ll see “___ & ___” labeling around the store to stick with their “Fridge & Pantry” theme. They do their best to include some local products, like the bread for their sandwiches.
Fridge & Pantry includes:
Produce
Their produce includes apples, berries, potatoes, onions, bananas, peppers, cucumbers and lettuce. They also have more refrigerated products such as dairy and juice. They also have a frozen section with prepared meals, ice cream, and more.
Wine & Beer
They have a huge wine selection, my fav spiked sparkling, and offer beer on tap too.
Groceries
F&P has a small grocery section with the essentials, whether you need some toothpaste, or chips and salsa for a last minute party.
Deli Case
The deli has a wide variety of prepared foods…
…along with a large selection of Boar’s Head deli meat, a high quality option.
Salad & Sandwich Bar
With an array of salads, including this garden salad.
They also have many sandwiches and wraps, with vegetarians, healthy, and stacked options.
Smoothie Bar
And lastly, their smoothie bar. Their smoothies are are fruit based, with yogurt or almond milk, and some options with veggies. The bowls are the same with toppings like coconut, berries, and slivered almonds.
If you see something you like, they even have an online ordering system.
