Lincoln’s Bar-B-Que, located in the heart of Downtown Silver Spring, makes great food that can you can pair with one of their five barbecue sauces. The restaurant also specializes in creating super crazy milkshakes.
The milkshakes come in a multitude of flavors and with elaborate toppings. During the holidays they even have specialty milkshakes.
When I went, I ordered a peanut butter milkshake. It came with a Reese’s Pieces and chocolate covered rim, a mountain of whipped cream, drizzles of chocolate, pretzels, and two small pastries. Overall, it looked incredibly delicious and a little intimidating.
It was a milkshake that I couldn’t tackle alone.
So I enlisted the help of a friend.
We started the milkshake feeling incredibly cocky. With two of us, finishing it would be a breeze. We decided to start with the toppings. It didn’t take us long to get through the pretzels and pastries.
The real challenge came when it was time to drink the milkshake.
The actual milkshake was really rich. It tasted amazing and it only got better when we mixed in the whipped cream. The first few minutes of drinking it was amazing.
We got about a third of the way through when exhaustion took over. Because the milkshake was so thick, it was also really filling. It didn’t help that we eaten a full meal beforehand too.
But still, neither of us were willing to admit to defeat. So we chugged on.
Halfway through the milkshake, we had to admit defeat. There was no way that we could continue. We tried our hardest, but the milkshake won. Thankfully, our waiter gave us a to-go cup so that we could finish it later.
Overall, the milkshake was absolutely amazing and worth every penny. Even though the milkshake was massive and had a multitude of toppings, it was one of the best milkshakes I’ve ever had. I know that I‘ll be heading back to try another flavor.
