Brunch is the ultimate college student activity every Saturday and Sunday. Baltimore brunches are extremely hard to beat with great locations and great food and these hot spots are our personal favorites. Baltimore is reinventing the saying, “If you’re lucky enough to live at the beach, you’re lucky enough.” Let’s be honest, if you’re lucky enough to brunch in Baltimore, you’re the luckiest.
Bond Street Social
First on our list is the insta famous, bottomless mimosa and bloody Mary hot spot: Bond Street Social. With its beautiful outdoor seating in nice weather, charming indoor seating, and perfect location in Fells Point, Bond Street is the place to be on the weekend. Pair any brunch entree with $10 bottomless mimosas or $15 bloodies. It’s the perfect place to indulge in a boozy brunch without burning a hole in your wallet.
Their to-die-for Crab Cake Benedict has a poached egg, crab cake, and spicy hollandaise on a grilled biscuit with potato hash on the side for only $15. Bond Street Social is also Baltimore’s ultimate place to get your fixing of southern brunch specialties.
Miss Shirley’s Cafe
Voted Best Overall and Best for Visitors by the Baltimore Magazine’s Best of Baltimore Readers’ Poll in 2015, Miss Shirley’s is definitely a must try brunch location. There are two locations: one in the Roland Park area and one in the Inner Harbor. You can go to Miss Shirley’s whether you want to roll out of bed and walk over or dress up, feelin’ classy, and spend a day in the Inner Harbor.
From the monthly special stuffed French toast to the delicious “Southern Slammer Sandwich” (a fan fav) Miss Shirley’s is very hard to beat. It has classic southern food with an extremely fabulous twist. With an added plus, Miss Shirley’s popular Spirited Beverages range from $5 through $14.
The unique and tasty Born On The Bay-O Bloody Mary which comes with Deep Eddy Citrus Vodka, garnished with blackened shrimp, tasso ham, andouille sausage, cheddar, pickled okra, tomato & celery with an Old Bay rim, is a must-have with your Saturday or Sunday brunch. A real Baltimore twist on the original Bloody. The menu has endless possibilities and an added plus for Loyola Students — they take Evergreen.
Gertrude’s
Feeling artsy and hungry? Take a trip to Gertrude’s which is located inside the Baltimore Museum of Art to satisfy your hunger and artistic appreciation. Every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm, Gertrude’s offers their fabulous brunch menu. Although their menu is a little pricey, it is well worth it and you can still find delicious dishes for under $15.
From Classic Eggs Benedict to great burgers, Gertrude’s has it all. If you’re a seafood connoisseur, order the Tilghman Island Eggs. This dish includes single-fry oysters, poached eggs and tomato on a toasted English muffin with hollandaise paired with home fries. This is a perfect spot for a special birthday brunch or just a day at the Baltimore Museum of Art. Special added bonus; the BMA is a free museum so you can make a whole day out of it.
Johnny’s
This fun environment and Roland Park location offers delicious brunch entrees every Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 3 pm. The Chai Tea Latte is a taste bud wake up call-the perfect way to start off your brunch. After your taste buds are wide awake try the delectable Catalina Omelette. The omelette includes red onions, oven roasted tomatoes, mushrooms and toast. The ingredients add a little something extra to make this dish more tasty than your average mushroom omelette.
Pair your omelette with a side of chicken sausage and smoked bacon for only $4! That’s a tasty steal that you cannot pass up. Johnny’s offers a Baltimore brunch that can’t be missed. It gives you the typical brunch foods for your picky friends with great unique drinks and entrees for the riskier one.

Teavolve Cafe & Lounge
Teavolve with its beautiful waterfront location also offers fabulous food. Brunch is served from 9 am to 4 pm including brunch happy hour and red velvet pancakes; what more could you possibly ask for? Oh yeah, they have coffee made with Nutella and bacon too. You can die happy now. Teavolve is known for their fabulous atmosphere and good vibes.
The mouthwatering Tea Infused Sangria is a great way to start your day. Either order a single drink or a pitcher for the table and all your brunching betches will be happy. All the dishes on the menu are an A+.
From the salads to the variety of lunch and breakfast sandwiches, chow down on your own or get a couple and share with friends. Our personal favorite is the Teavolve Breakfast Crepe which includes scrambled egg, smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, cheese grits, chipotle aioli, and scallions for only $6.50.
Barcocina
Most people know Barcocina for their to-die-for Margaritas and extremely tasty dinner menu. Did you know it was possible to master Mexican dinner and delectable brunch? Barcocina accomplished it. The beautiful location in fells point offers brunch from 11 am to 3 pm every Saturday and Sunday.
The menu includes french toast, omelettes, waffles, and some Mexican style dishes like the Breakfast Quesadilla. This dish comes with smoked cheddar eggs, sweet corn salsa and crumbled pepper bacon for only $10. Add a side of the skillet potatoes for $5 to any entree to top off the perfect meal.
The menu items are so mouthwatering you’re gonna need a drink to cool off your appetite. Barcocina offers an extremely price saving $10 bottomless mimosas or $12 bottomless bloodies. As they are known for their margaritas you can also get the make your own margarita for $6 during brunch hours. Barcocina is a must-have on our brunch list with its delicious brunch menu and fabulous location. Barcocina is definitely worth checking out -you won’t regret it.
