A 3D Candy Printer Finally Exists, and We’re Pretty Excited

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at LUC chapter.

Starting today, Dylan’s Candy Bar will now be the home to a 3D candy printer. For a flat rate of $20, customers will be able to customize their own 3D gummy. The printer allows you to choose from pre-designed templates or make your own creation. It can even download JPEG images and PDF files that it prints on a flat surface. Say hello to 3D gummy selfies.

There are eight different color/flavor options to choose from: lemon, blackcurrant, elderberry, mango, apple, strawberry, raspberry, and “tasty tropical blue.” The gummies can then be finished off with fizzy dust, sour dust, or glitter. All the flavors are vegan and nut, diary, and gluten-free.

This printer was first introduced in the U.S. at the New York City flagship Dylan’s Candy Bar. However, along with the Chicago location, the Miami and Los Angeles locations will also be introducing their own 3D candy printer. The process takes less than ten minutes and is worth the wait.

Go check out the new printer and get your favorite photo in gummy form. Candy presents just got a whole lot more fun.
