When this giant box of Old El Paso swag and product showed up on my doorstep, I knew I was in for a treat. So I got together my family and friends for an epic taco night in honor of Old El Paso’s newest creations, alongside some long time favorites. Needless to say, it was a fiesta at it’s finest.
We cranked the mariachi music and began toasting some shells, as the chicken and beef starting cooking on the stove. We used the seasoning mix provided in the Old El Paso Dinner Kit for the beef, and the New Crispy Taco Seasoning Mix for Fish of Chicken on the chicken. Both were prepared as recommended on the label and tasted AMAZING!
In addition to what was originally was sent to me, we also used Old El Paso’s Bold Nacho Cheese shells, which are gluten free and delicious. Our dinner options included, taco salad, taco bowls, and Stand ‘n Stuff Hint of Lime, or Nacho Cheese shells. We had our choice of chicken or beef and all the fixings, and between 8 people, we devoured everything.
It was all amazing, which comes as no surprise, but the new Old El Paso products were incredible, and are soon to become regulars at our table.

Old El Paso Crispy Flour Tortilla Shells
Currently available nationwide, priced around $2.80 a box.
I have never been more addicted to a taco shell in my life. These flour shells are so light and flaky you would think you had traveled to France and were eating puff pastry baked by the masters of baking themselves, but nope, it’s just Old El Paso’s Crispy Flour Tortilla Shells. They are seriously that good.
They are a blend of soft and crunchy, and taste like a traditional, albeit more airy, flour tortilla. The box I received had had some shipping difficulties, and upon arrival all of the shells were broken. While originally disappointing after tasting the broken shells and realizing how incredible they are, we quickly whipped them up into a taco salad, and served them along side everything else. They were a huge hit, with people eating the tortillas like extremely addictive, and delicious chips.
My salad included lots of lettuce, cheese, chicken cooked with Old El Paso’s Crispy Taco Seasoning mix, pico de gallo, sour cream and Crispy Flour Tortillas. Oh my goodness, was this good. The flour shells were great tortilla chips and really made the salad. I would eat them anytime, anyway I could get them. Be sure to try them out, you will not be disappointed.
Old El Paso Crispy Taco Seasoning Mix
Will be available nationwide, priced around $0.89 a packet.
Crispy Taco Seasoning Mix is life changing! I have never had chicken in taco’s before, but now I can’t imagine it any other way. The chicken was tender and soft with a great taste and bite.
The seasoning lightly breads the chicken or fish for a restaurant style crisp protein, and has an incredible taste. It’s affordable and a must have, creating a whole new way to experience tacos at home.
I ate my chicken in the Hint Of Lime shells, and on my taco salad with the flour shells as described above. The flavor was bold and delicious making it a star of the table. It was the first thing to disappear as everybody could not get enough of the signature taste. If you are looking to mix it up next Taco Tuesday and set a new standard for excellence, then this seasoning is for you.
