The Friendly City of Harrisonburg, Virginia is no stranger to cute spots and cozy cafes, but one spot in particular takes the cake for the best spot to visit, especially for coffee, tea, and cat lovers. Aristocat Cafe is Harrisonburg’s very own cat cafe. You can visit the Cat Lounge by making a reservation and giving love to all of the adoptable kitties. Who doesn’t want to sip a latte and eat a homemade treat while decompressing from a long week by playing with cats?

The cafe also hosts many adorable events, like a cat yoga event which is the perfect recipe for relaxation. After an hour of stretching and petting cats, I made sure to treat myself with a delicious iced latte, though a calming wellness tea would go perfectly with yoga. They have even hosted a Paint and Purr event where you create art alongside these adorable cats while sipping on refreshing, featured drinks.

As a self-proclaimed coffee and cat enthusiast, this cafe is where I find my solace in downtown Harrisonburg and my safe haven from the chaos of academics and schoolwork. The cafe offers an array of different kinds of tea such as matcha, oolong, chai, green, white, and so much more. For coffee lovers, the spot offers lavender lattes, warm and cozy cappuccinos, cold brew, and you’re free to customize your coffee with their numerous flavored syrups like caramel, vanilla, and their delicious seasonal options. The cafe ensures that there’s something for everybody!
