Just a few blocks south of Assembly Hall and Memorial Stadium, Yogi’s Grill and Bar offers the opportunity to view any game in the perfect sports bar atmosphere.
Yogi’s is decked out in IU memorabilia, but don’t be discouraged, they show any and every game you’d want to watch. Despite a change in management this past summer, Yogi’s is still going strong and is the place to be on game day.
Something I’ve always loved about Yogi’s is its variety of fried potato options. Their classic french fries are hot and greasy with salt and pepper. If you’re feeling nostalgic for elementary school lunches they also have tater tots.
The best though, in my humble opinion, is the Cajun seasoned buffalo chips. Want some good news? After 10 pm they’re just $1 on the late night menu. Get these with a cup of ranch and you have the best munchies ever.
On IU game nights Yogi’s features a “Game Night Menu”; it includes classic game day options like wings and burgers that you can chow down on while viewing the game on one of their numerous TV’s.
If you want something more than game day bar food, they also offer other options like the turkey wrap which comes loaded with turkey, bacon and chipotle mayo. Another Yogi’s classic is their chicken velvet soup. If you’ve ever got a cold, make sure you have this soup delivered. You’ll instantly feel better.
Don’t forget about the drinks because Yogi’s has a full beer menu available along with daily drink deals. You can get your favorite beer on tap or any number of cocktails to go with one of their delicious burgers.
They also offer the “Century Club” for anyone who is willing to try 100 different beers in just 8 months. It’s basically a reward system for your drinking habits.
If you can’t make it to the game itself, Yogi’s perfect sports-viewing atmosphere will make sure you’re plenty comfortable to enjoy the game.
#SpoonTip: They’ll even change the TV’s so you can view any game you want.
Paired with the beer menu and a combination of classic burgers, you’re sure to have a good time.
