For all the beer lovers, Upland-goers, and 21-year-olds, Upland Brewery presents The Wood Shop. It is Upland’s newest sour brewery and tasting room, located next to the Upland Pub on 11th. This new shop lets Upland create more innovative beers and expand their varieties of sour beers.
Why You Should Go
Targeted to “curious beer drinkers,” Upland wants to promote its variety of beers and help customers discover new, enjoyable brews that will expose their palate to something different. Some of the beers have not been released—you can only get a taste for them at The Wood Shop itself. If you already have an Upland beer you enjoy, those are available too.
What to Try When You Go
This brewery consists of 20 taps total. Ten of the them are sour beers, and the other 10 are seasonal and small-batch beers. With Upland Brewery gaining a reputation for sour beers, new creations have been tested and put out to the public.
Some of the new sours include strawberry, dragonfruit, orchid, kiwi, blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry to name a few, all brewed by Upland.
The Wood Shop regularly has tours Monday through Wednesday at 4:30 pm, Thursday and Friday at 4:30 and 6 pm, plus Saturday and Sunday at 1:30, 3, and 5 pm. If you’d rather sit down and enjoy beers with friends and family, The Wood Shop will be open Thursday and Friday from 4pm to 9 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm to 9 pm.
So bring your best of friends and get ready to try some new brews at The Wood Shop!
