I don’t know if you saw, but Taco Bell pulled an interesting stunt on their social media pages last Tuesday. They blacked-out their Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr pages to promote their new ordering app. This meant that posts and photos were hidden, and even all information on their website was suddenly gone except for a picture of their hashtag #onlyintheapp. Ballsy, Taco Bell.
But let’s get to the exciting part of all of this. That’s right, you can now order ahead on your phone and pick up your food almost instantly. That’s pretty exciting for your midday Quesarito quickies.
All you have to do is download the app, browse the menu and go pick up your order anytime during business hours. They’ll start making your food whenever you arrive so it’s fresh, meaning you can order, take a nap and then show up whenever you damn well please. Also since they collect your payment info when you order, it promises to be fast when you do finally show up. You can even pick up your meal at the drive-thru, so you never have to get out of your pajamas.
You can save your favorites and order with the click of a single button, or take a look at some of their specials #onlyintheapp. And if you place a drunken order and don’t make it to the store before close, they won’t even charge you. It’s like Taco Bell just gets us.
So, drunch on, people.
