This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at IU chapter.

If you find yourself wandering the New York City streets for food after dark, there’s no better choice than a late night slice! We all know how it feels after having a little too much to drink, or dancing too hard at the bar. All you want is something to eat, but it isn’t always that simple to find places that are open extra late! This guide will lead you to the best late night pizza spots in NYC.

Prince Street Pizza

Known as one of the best slices in Nolita, Prince Street Pizza is open until 4am on Weekends and 11pm on Weekdays. An ideal hub for late party goers. If your fortunate enough to stumble upon this heavenly place drunk or sober, you must try their famous square pepperoni pizza. Be prepared, because you might need 2 of these spicy squares of saucy goodness.

Lombardi’s

Founded in 1905, Lombardi’s has been serving New Yorkers and visitors from all around the globe for over 100 years. This special place takes on the title of “first pizzeria in the United States.” Whether you dine in or out, this joint is open until 11pm on weekdays and 12am on weekends. Order their original margarita pie or the special white, no sauce pizza to share with friends.

Basille’s Artichoke

With 9 locations all over New York, Basille’s Artichoke pizza is one place that will not let you go hungry. Depending on location, Basille’s stays open between 1am – 4am, 7 days a week! A slice of their notorious Artichoke pizza can feed 2 people, unless your willing to take on the challenge of finishing it yourself. Not a spinach-artichoke fan? The vodka pizza with fresh tomatoes and cream sauce is another that will not let you down.

Max Brenner

Who ever said pizza had to be cheesy?! If your sweet tooth is nagging you past midnight, Max Brenner has the best late night dessert pizza. Open until 2am on weekends, order their chocolate chunks pizza and pile it with sweet toppings like banana’s, peanut butter, or marshmellows!

Joe’s Pizza

If you want authentic New York pizza, Joe’s has you covered. Although you won’t find a large, complicated menu here, their consistency and quality ingredients is what makes this place so special. In their own words, “no pretentious concoctions,” just plain, fresh Mozzarella, or square pies. Open until 5am, Friday – Saturday and 2am on weekdays.

Bleecker Street Pizza

Known as one of best pizza places in New York, Bleecker Street serves customers daily from 11am – 2am and until 5am on weekends. Their famous thin crust Nonna Maria pies made from a family recipe are amazing. Even celebrities like Bella Hadid and Hailey Baldwin have been seen here!

Pizza Beach

This trendy spot on Orchard street is perfect for those foodies who want an artsy snapshot. Pizza Beach serves California style seasonal foods and of course, pizza. Cocktail in one hand, pizza in the other, the atmosphere in this place is killer. Open late on Thursday – Saturday until 2am, Pizza Beach is for everyone, offering gluten-free crust and vegan cheese for those with dietary need

Two Boot

If you’re a Sex and the City fan, you gotta make your way to Two Boots. This quirky, cajun style pizza is a little different from the average pie. They even offer a vegan pizza with Daiya non-dairy cheese. You might even be able to sit where Carrie and Miranda had their late night bite. Open until 2am, Friday and Saturday.

2 Bros Pizza

To top it off, if your looking for the cheapest slice out there, 2 bros serves $1 plain slices until 2am. Make it a meal by getting 2 slices and a can of soda for $2.99 at one of their 10 locations throughout NYC, Brooklyn and the Bronx.

Pizza Service Announcement: This fall, if you want to try some slices from the biggest names in pizza, check out the New York Pizza Festival that’s hitting the Bronx during Columbus Day weekend, Oct 6-7, 2018.
