How to Make a DIY Ice Pack

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Illinois State chapter.

If you’re like me, you’re broke. If you’re like me you also happen to get drunk and bust your shit after a long night of drinking at the bars, or if you’ve happened to down a bottle of Hennessy after being real deep in your feels with Dej Loaf.

You’ve somehow afforded food from Jimmy Johns and regretting flirting with the delivery guy by pretending the sub was his ding dong… (that actually happened before) but now it’s 3AM, you’re sobering up, and you realize you busted your shit while trying to do a handspring after explaining to a random guy that you did gymnastics for 2 weeks. Ouch. Looking in your mini fridge you can’t find an ice pack. Yikes. Dr. McSpongy to the rescue.

Things you’ll need:

Sponge
Water
Bowl
Plastic Bag
Freezer

Step 1: Dunk it

Really, too easy.

Step 4. Freeze it

A few hours for best results, 30 minutes if you have zero patience.
