You might have heard a couple of months ago when Disneyland rolled out their rose gold churros and the internet collectively lost their damn minds. Well, Disneyland has outdone itself with its newest creation by transforming one of fans’ most beloved snacks, the Dole Whip, into donut form. Enter the Dole Whip Donut.
Whoa, What’s That?
Dole Whip is a magical, dairy-free, tart-but-sweet, pineapple soft serve that has haunted my dreams in between Disneyland trips since childhood. According to an Instagram post by @ninatinkandtaylor, Disney has transformed the Dole Whip into donut form by filling it with sweet pineapple jelly and topping it with flamed marshmallow fluff meringue.
This isn’t the first time the cart has transformed one of their popular snacks into donut form. The cart released a mega popular Matterhorn Macaroon Donut last year which was inspired by one of the park’s most popular cookies and topped with caramel, coconut, and mini pieces of macaroon.
The cart also regularly features a variety of other over the top donut flavors, including fruity pebbles, waffle cone, and peanut butter cup.
How Do I Get One?
According to Disney Food Blog, you can find the Dole Whip Donut at the Disneyland Donut Cart at the end of Main Street next to the Sleeping Beauty castle. However, Disney Food Blog notes that the cart’s offerings change often, so keep in mind it may not be there on the day you visit if you’re only at Disneyland for a day or two.
The Dole Whip Donut isn’t currently listed on Disneyland’s official menu, but according to Yelp, donuts average about $6 at the cart.
I Stan for Dole Whip, so personally, I think planning a trip to try one is worth the risk. Whether you’re able to snag one or not, any day chilling with Mickey and Minnie in the California sunshine sounds like a pretty good day to me.
