5 Delicious Desserts You Can Make in the Microwave

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Georgetown chapter.

When that late night – or first thing in the morning, we don’t judge – sugar craving hits, it’s not always most sensible to make a whole batch of cookies. Chances are, the sugar craving will overcome any will power you may have had, ruining your “healthy eating” and depleting your precious stock of baking supplies. Fear no more! With the discovery of many new recipes for microwavable desserts, you can treat yourself in less than 5 minutes. Online food blogs have caught on to the dessert-in-a-mug trend, cutting dishwashing time and post-sweet guilt for many. These personal desserts range from classic chocolate chip cookies to decadent brownies – and since they all only require the use of a microwave, there is no excuse to not try them all.

Start with one of these simple recipes, and you will be set. Improvisation encouraged.
