Five Guys Burgers and Fries Adds Hand-Spun Milkshakes to the Mix

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at FSU chapter.

Five Guys has joined its burger flipping counterparts and started serving hand-spun milkshakes. YAS. They are introducing these delicious treats a few stores at a time, so if you can’t immediately find any, ask when or if a location near you will begin selling them.

These aren’t your typical chocolate or vanilla shakes, either. Theirs will leave your taste buds tingling by offering the basic flavors along with fruit, coffee, caramel, and bacon…yes, bacon.

Five Guys gives you the freedom and variety to build your very own milkshake for one flat price. You can choose from a number of mix-ins like peanut butter, Oreo cookie, Oreo crème, and salted caramel. Just like the burger toppings, all of these mix-ins are free. Holla. I’ve only tried two different flavor combinations but so far I am more than delighted by the new milkshakes. The shakes are served as soon as they are finished so you don’t have to worry about your shake melting while the food cooks, although you might consider saving some some to dip your fries in later.

Currently they are only selling one shake size. If you’re one of those people that constantly order the extra large shakes (shout out to you) then this may be the only draw back. Although, just think of it as Five Guys watching out for your health, kinda. But really, what other place lets you put bacon in your milkshake?

The next time you stop by a Five Guys Burgers and Fries, be sure to make it a complete meal with a ridiculously delicious hand-spun milkshake.
