The Ben & Jerry’s Factory in Waterbury, Vermont should definitely be a bucket list item for every foodie! Not only are there free samples (yes – FREE!) but there’s also a tour of the factory, a super cute gift shop, a playground and of course, ice cream!
I don’t know about you, but I love ice cream, probably a bit too much for my well-being. What makes me feel way better is if the ice cream I’m buying (and definitely not sharing) has a good purpose behind it! Then the ice cream isn’t really for me, it’s obviously to help the greater cause (as if I need an excuse to be eating more ice cream).
Something I really loved about the visit was the Flavor Graveyard, featuring all of the beloved Ben & Jerry’s flavors that have since been put to rest. I thought it was super cool to see all of the different and creative concoctions Ben & Jerry have come up with over the years.
I don’t want to give too much away, but what I will say is part of the tour included a message from Ben & Jerry stating that when creating the very famous and treasured Ben & Jerry’s brand, they wanted to be sure to give back to the community- and they certainly have.
Since 1978, Ben & Jerry’s has been serving the country with delicious flavors with three factories in the U.S!
For just $4 admission, you get to learn how Ben & Jerry’s came to be and what their company means to them and the communities around them! Best of all, you get to try some all time favorites like Cherry Garcia and Brownie Batter Core. Did I mention the free samples?
To all my fellow ice cream lovers and Ben & Jerry’s loyal supporters, I hope you get to visit this wonderful place!
