Piece of Cake Serves Up The Best Cake in Atlanta

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Emory chapter.

So it’s your best friend’s birthday next week and you need to get something yummy to celebrate. Call one of Piece of Cake’s locations (the one in Decatur is closest to campus), place an order and I promise you will not be disappointed with your fresh, spongy dessert.

With over 20 years of experience in baking gourmet cakes, it’s no surprise that these are the best cakes I’ve ever had. And with nine successful locations all over the greater Atlanta area, it seems like others agree.

This cake shop boasts a large variety of flavors, including peanut butter layer cake, lemon pound cake, Oreo layer cake, carrot layer cake, white chocolate layer cake and red velvet layer cake. You will definitely find something that you, your friends and probably your entire floor will enjoy. As a lover of cream cheese frosting, my personal favorite is their red velvet cake, but if you like other frostings or no frosting at all, they have plenty of choices for you, too.

While a whole cake is perfect for celebrating, unfortunately you often have no reason to buy an entire cake. So the next ordinary time that you are craving cake (and let’s be real, that happens a lot), head over to one of the Piece of Cake locations, where you can buy your favorite cake by the slice. Since you can buy slices as well as entire cakes, you now have the opportunity to try all of their flavors.

If cake just isn’t your thing, try out their cupcakes and cookies, too. I swear everything they have is worth the calories. They even have gluten free muffins, cupcakes, cakes, cookies and brownies, some of which are egg-free.

If you become a frequent customer, and you probably will, make sure to get a Cakeclub Card so that you can get points for every purchase. Keep in mind that you can’t sit down at their locations, so plan on either eating your cake on the go, or saving it for later.

While you may not have heard of this spot yet, Piece of Cake serves one of the finest desserts in the entire city.
