Any of you white chocolate lovers? If so, I have some news for ya! White Chocolate is not chocolate!
What makes chocolate chocolate is cacao powder, but white chocolate does not actually contain any cacao beans.
So what is white chocolate made of?
– cacao butter
– milk solids
– sugar
– milk fat
– lecithin
Therefore, the only difference between white and regular (milk & dark) chocolate is simply cacao beans.
While the exact origination of white chocolate is not known, it is believed to have been invented sometime in the 1930’s in the “land of chocolate” (Aka Switzerland).
