University of Denver isn’t really known for the food on campus, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of amazing options right off campus. From delicious asian cuisine to mouthwatering sandwiches, there are plenty of great places a collegiate foodie can go. Unlike Hogwarts students, Pioneers at least get variety. Don’t get me wrong, the food at Hogwarts looks great, but one has to wonder where these students would eat if they had the same number of options DU students do. So without further ado, here’s where each Harry Potter character would eat if they went to the University of Denver.
Harry Potter: Beans
Harry would be found at Beans, enjoying a coffee with Hermione and Ron. Harry loves hanging out with his friends, and what better place to do that than the on campus coffee shop that provides a variety of caffeinated drinks? He would love being around mostly other students, as well as being able to get a drink on Thursday nights.
Ron: Jelly U Cafe
Ron loved having the homemade breakfast Molly Weasley always made, so he’d probably want somewhere that valued brunch and large proportions greatly. He’d probably spend his weekend mornings at Jelly, where classic french toast and pancakes are staple dishes. Plus, he would totally love the restaurant’s signature jelly filled donuts.
Hermione: Front Porch Cafe
Hermione was always studying, so she would want to eat somewhere quiet and student-friendly. So what better place for her than Front Porch Cafe? She would love being able to get coffee right inside the library, as well as the fact that they are open extra late for finals week. She could probably be found hitting the books and sipping a drip coffee here.
Dumbledore: La Belle Rosette Espresso & Wine Bar
Being headmaster of Hogwarts can’t be easy, and we imagine Dumbledore would want to go somewhere to unwind after a hard day of work. He would love the delicious coffee options provided at La Belle Rosette and would totally want to try the wine there.
Rubeus Hagrid: Mustard’s Last Stand
Hagrid would want something delicious yet simple, so he’d probably order a hot dog with a large side of fries at Mustard’s Last Stand. He’d love the quick service and the fact that everything tastes fresh.
Malfoy: Somewhere expensive downtown
Malfoy would want only the finest dining, so he’d probably most likely avoid most of the restaurants right by DU. Not because they’re bad, but because none of them offer super fancy and luxurious environments. You’d probably catch him at some expensive place downtown you’ve always wanted to go to but could never afford on your own money.
Remus Lupin: Deiter’s Chocolate
Lupis recommended chocolate after encounters with Dementors and we totally get why. Chocolate is definitely a lifesaver in any stressful situation! Obviously he’d be found at Deiter’s Chocolate, one of the few places near DU to offer sweets and candies. He’d probably be stacking up on chocolate there, just in case any Dementors decided to show up.
