If you’re like me, then you view working out as something you know you’ve got to do, but you just absolutely do not want to. However, after searching for ways of trying to make my workout routine more exciting and motivational, I finally came across SWORKIT, an app so effective and easy that I no longer had excuses to not go to the gym.
Before using SWORKIT, my workout routine was all over the place. I’d literally go to the gym, grab a mat and a weight, and just did anything I could think of. But with SWORKIT, I now have an organized and balanced routine that shows real results. To be more specific, here are six reasons why I use the app, and why you should use it too!

This might be the app’s best feature. Just kidding, but who doesn’t love scoring a free app?! Although SWORKIT does offer a premium option for $7.99 a month, I, myself, am not a premium member and am more than happy with what the free version of the app gives me. But hey, if you’re a hardo looking for an upgrade, be my guest!
2. Customizable
Unlike a few other workout apps that I have found, SWORKIT’s workouts are very customizable and easy to personally design. You can chose from either strength, cardio, yoga, or stretching, and can focus on full body, upper body, lower body, or core. Not only can you customize which parts of the body to focus on, but you can easily skip any exercise that you don’t want to do. Hah, see ya burpees!
3. Self-timer Included
With SWORKIT, keeping an eye on the clock is no longer a pain, which makes your workout routine your main priority. To start, you simply select the amount of time you want to work out for, ranging from 5 to 60 minutes. As time passes, you will complete 30-second exercise intervals, and watch the clock go down until you hear the sweet words of, “Congrats, you’ve finished!”
4. Set Your Own Reminders
Even if you are an avid working out machine, the best of us can even get side tracked and forget to add some cardio to our day. But with the push of a button, you can unlock the benefits of making your very own SWORKIT workout reminders. From daily reminders to “after 2 days of inactivity,” SWORKIT will always be your #1 work out motivator!
5. Do It At Home
Working out weekly is great, but it isn’t always easy to make it to the gym. Luckily, SWORKIT makes it super easy and simple to complete your regular exercises from almost anywhere, even on-the-go.
