Where to Score the Best Deals for National Coffee Day in Charleston

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at C Of C chapter.

National Coffee Day has arrived. Every September 29th, several local coffee shops hop on the national food holiday and offer Charlestonians deals on coffee or unleash new drinks. Here’s how to support your local coffee shops instead of national chains while also saving some cash. I reached out to over 15 coffee shops in Charleston to get you the inside scoop of who’s participating in National Coffee Day.

As someone with a low-grade coffee addiction, this was the perfect national food holiday to inform College of Charleston of. There is a multitude of reasons why you need a cup of coffee today, and with all of these deals, there is no reason not to grab one today.

Here are all of your National Coffee Day deals in Charleston, South Carolina. Drink responsibly.

Sassyass Coffee

Charleston’s local bike driven mobile coffee shop will be located at the intersection of King and Fulton Street in the CosBar parking lot starting at 9:30 a.m. They are having Free Flavor Friday, which means no extra charge for that shot of vanilla in your latte. They are also giving away free buttons and stickers when you buy a coffee, but only if you’re a follower of theirs on Instagram!

City Lights Coffee

141 Market Street

City Lights Coffee is having their specialty latte, the Orange Lavender Latte for the price of a regular latte! Located on Market Street, it’s only a few blocks from campus, which makes it a great place to grab a latte during a break in classes.

Bad Wolf Coffee

1503 King Street

Bad Wolf Coffee at Workshop is celebrating National Coffee Day by having free drip coffee and mini pumpkin muffins all day until they run out. Get your pumpkin and coffee fix all at once and –better yet – free.

Eclectic Cafe & Vinyl

132 Spring Street

The Eclectic Cafe is a vinyl emporium, coffee shop, bistro café, newsstand, and wine and craft beer bar on Spring Street. Eclectic is getting in the spirit with $1 off lattes and free refills on drip and iced coffee today!

The Rise

77 Wentworth Street

The Rise is participating in National Coffee Day with half off drip coffee today. They also just launched their Sweet Autumn Sage latte as well, so while there is no deal on the new drink, if you aren’t a drip coffee person, they’ve got you covered. Also, Alton Brown went here and loved it, so you can’t go wrong.

Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit

476 King Street

Now, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit is not a “coffee” shop, but they are offering $1 off coffee all day today. If you’re in the mood for an on the go breakfast and coffee for class this morning, here’s your move. Make all of your classmates jealous walking in with a hot biscuit and coffee that you didn’t pay full price for, boss af.
