5 Days of Oatmeal: A Week of Recipes to Fuel Your Morning

Oatmeal is a breakfast staple and will fill you up for the busy work day ahead. But instead of grabbing the usual instant oatmeal packets, try one of these easy oatmeal recipes below. These five easy oatmeal recipes will help fuel your morning without taking up too much time. With these inventive flavors, you’ll wake up excited to start each day. 

Monday- Apple Pie Oats

Ingredients

-1/2 cup oats

-1 teaspoon cinnamon

-1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

-1 apple

-1 cup milk of choice

-1 tablespoon brown or coconut sugar

-1 graham cracker

-2 tablespoons nut butter

Directions

1. Dice the apple and add it to the pot with milk of choice, cinnamon, sugar, and nutmeg. Bring to high heat.

2. Once the milk starts simmering, add in the oats. 

3. Reduce the heat to low and stir occasionally for about 5 minutes. When the oats have thickened to your desired consistency, take off the heat.

4. Add graham crackers and nut butter on top and enjoy!

Tuesday- Peaches and Cream Oats

Ingredients 

-1/2 cup quick oats

-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

-1 cup milk of choice

-1 cup peaches

-1 tablespoon honey

-2 spoonfulls vanilla yogurt

Directions

1. Add milk of choice and cinnamon to a pot on high heat.

2. Once simmering, add in oats and about half of the peaches.

3. Lower the heat, then cook until the oats have thickened to desired consistency and peaches are soft and cooked through.

3. Serve with vanilla yogurt, honey, and the remaining fresh peaches!

Wednesday- Overnight Oats

Ingredients 

-1/2 cup oats

-1/2 cup milk choice

-1/2 cup Greek yogurt

-1 teaspoon cinnamon

-Dash vanilla extract

-1 cup fruit of choice

-1 tablespoon honey

Directions

1. Add oats, milk of choice, Greek yogurt, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and fruit to an airtight container.

2. Stir and shake up container and place in the fridge overnight.

3. In the morning, top with extra fruit and honey and enjoy!

Thursday- Very Berry Oats

Ingredients 

-1/2 cup oats

-1 cup milk of choice

-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

-Dash vanilla extract

-1 cup of berries 

-1 spoonful of vanilla yogurt

-1 tablespoon of honey

Directions

1. Add milk of choice to a pot on high heat. Stir in cinnamon and vanilla extract.

2. Once simmering, add in oats and berries. Lower the heat.

3. Stir occasionally for about 5 minutes until the oats have thickened to desired consistency.

4. Serve with strawberries, yogurt, and honey on top!

Friday- Cookie Dough Oats

Ingredients 

-1/2 cup oats 

-1 cup milk of choice

-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 

-Dash of vanilla extract 

-2 tablespoons nut butter of choice 

-2 tablespoons chocolate chips

-1 graham cracker

Directions

1. Add milk of choice to the pot with cinnamon and vanilla extract. Cook over high heat.

2. Once simmering, add in oats and reduce the heat to low.

3. Stir occasionally until the oats have thickened. Take off the heat, then stir in the nut butter.

4. Add in chocolate chips just before serving.

5. Top with a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs and more chocolate chips on top!
