This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Binghamton chapter.

Instagram is currently the fastest growing social media site around, there is even a wikihow page on how to become “instafamous”. Since the emergence of its popularity, artsy photos of people and scenery are no longer the only things flooding popular pages. Food instagrams are all the current rage: Instagrams fully composed of mouth-watering, hunger inducing, food porn. Who doesn’t want to ogle over stacked ice cream cones or cheesy fries? With trending hashtags such as #eatingfortheinsta #foodporn and #eeeeats its clear that this trend is here to stay. Here are the 8 best food instagrams guaranteed to make you hungry and suffer from some serious food-envy. We could all stand to waste a little more time staring at pictures of delicious food.

First and foremost Spoon University is a must follow. Updated daily, this instagram is full of delicious food across the nation and even abroad. This food will make any college student seriously jealous as they eat their dining hall food. From bagels to sushi, burgers and ice cream this account covers all the bases.

Smitten Kitchen

One of my favorite food blogs out there is smitten kitchen. Blogger Deb Perelman tries out all sorts of delicious recipes all out of her tiny New York City apartment. Everything always looks delicious. Her instagram is filled with a range of beautiful pictures of foods she makes, from baked breads to salads and pasta. I write this all while staring at a picture of a perfect chocolate babka, this account certainly does not disappoint.

Dominique Ansel

By now if you haven’t heard of the cronut or the cookie shot you have to be living under a rock. The creator of this heavenly treat Dominique Ansel and his namesake bakery create all sorts of innovative sweet and savory options. While Ansel did release the recipe for the cronut, lets just say you are probably better off leaving it to the professionals, or just scrolling through his pictures of all the delicious foods he cooks and eats.

Jamie Oliver

Jamie Oliver is a famous chef and strong advocate of healthy eating with locally-sourced food. His instagram is full of dishes that he cooks and updates almost daily. The bright vivid colors of the food and innovative combinations would make anyone hungry. This account is sure to brighten your feed.

Drizzle And Dip

Sam Linsell is a food stylist, photographer and cook who started the blog drizzleanddip and has forayed into instagram. This combination of cook, photographer and stylist seems to be the perfect trifecta as far as accounts go. The pictures feature any dish you can imagine as she has over 1200 posts, in a more rustic setting sure to make anyone’s mouth water.

Spoonforkbacon

Spoonforkbacon is another food blog online started by two women Teri and Jenny that cook their own original recipes. Their food is more than your average dishes with recipes such as peach, burrata, and cinnamon basil crostini, pumpkin and manchego beer bread and pumpkin stuffed pretzel French toast. And yes, this food looks even better than it sounds. With food that looks and sounds so good and is updated every day what more could you ask for?
