Your Guide to Every National Food Holiday in October

All holidays call for extra eating: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July. America knows how to do it right. But we’re here to tell you that there are far more Holidays than you think. Almost every day in October is a National Food Day. And food based holidays call for food based parties. So read our guide, eat, celebrate, and tell the world.

October 1: National Kale Day

I guess kale has become so popular that is deserves its own holiday… I’ll leave that up to you to decide. Nonetheles,s grab your kale chips and get munching.

October 4: National Taco Day and National Vodka Day

That’s more like it. Taco day and vodka day in one; what could be better? Hit up Taco Bell or whip up your own tacos and try these Jell-O Shots in the name of all things vodka.

October 8: National Fluffernutter Day

Fluffernutters are a New England thing and the better looking older brother of PB&Js. Gooey marshmallow fluff and creamy peanut butter ranks this holiday high in my books, and you can make ’em into mini fluffernutter brownie cups. Yas.

October 9: Submarine-Hoagy-Hero-Grinder Day

An excuse to eat one (or a few) $5 footlongs, go for a steak and cheese or hang at your favorite sandwich shop.

October 12: National Pumpkin Pie Day

October 13: National M&M Day
