Best Restaurants in Boston to Celebrate Valentines Day With Your Squad

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at BC chapter.

With the arrival of February means Valentines Day is right around the corner. Although some have mixed emotions about the holiday, lets be real, I’ll take any excuse to buy myself chocolates and eat heart shaped pizza. While some might choose to celebrate the holiday at a romantic dinner with their significant other, Valentines Day is the perfect way to celebrate the people you love, especially your best friends!  SO rally your girl squad, put on your favorite red dress, and check out one of these trendy restaurants in Boston for a good time.

FAT BABY

Fat Baby in Southie is the perfect place to party with your girlfriends. With huge plates of sushi, fun cocktails, and a good atmosphere, its the perfect Vday spot. Or if you have plans at night, head to Fat Baby for brunch- and be sure to treat yourself to their cinnamon toast crunch French toast..regardless of whether you go to brunch or dinner, after your meal, you’ll probably feel like a literal fat baby.

BARCELONA

Barcelona Wine Bar in Brookline is the best spot for a date night with your girl squad. A Spanish fusion restaurant known for their tapas and small plates, it’s the perfect place to go with a group and is so easy to order for the table! Be sure to make a reservation because Barcelona is always packed.

CITRUS AND SALT

Citrus and Salt is an adorable restaurant in Boston’s CBD a few blocks off of Newbury Street. With fun cocktails, cool decorations, and the best guacamole, its definitely one of the best options for Mexican food in Boston.

TIGER MAMA

Tiger Mama is an iconic Boston restaurant right by Fenway. With their cute tropical decor, flavorful Asian fusion entrees, and fruity tiki cocktails served in coconuts and pineapples, you and your squad will feel like you’re in paradise.

HOJOKO

Hojoko is a funky restaurant with a great atmosphere that was voted Boston Magazine’s Best Fenway Restaurant in 2018. Coined as ‘a rock and roll Japanese restaurant’, Hojoko provides the perfect balance between dinner and a night out. Or if you have plans on Valentines Day, head to Hojoko on Saturday night and check out ‘Ichiban Saturdays’ where Hojoko turns into a fun dance party with a DJ at 10pm.
