It’s midterm season and I’ve been craving everything because of the stress. Which brings me back to my most recent craving that I cannot satisfy. Last Spring break, I went to Austin Texas with my boyfriend to visit his home state. My visit was short but filled with outrageously good food. My last day was a short one so my boyfriend decided to take me to his favorite place: Whataburger. He got me the one and only Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit.
He ordered me two (lucky me) while I waited in one of the booths. A few minutes later, he came comes over with 2 wonderfully wrapped biscuits ready for me to indulge in. I opened it up finally tried it. It was a life altering experience guys. I mean look at it.
I took every bite knowing I wouldn’t be able to get this outside of Texas. While I was stuffing my face, I got a text that my flight was delayed.
All of this worry made me sick and unable to finish my biscuit. My boyfriend got lucky and finished it off and had the extra one. Which brings me back to this very moment, craving that wonderfully flaky biscuit, creamy n’ sweet honey butter, and crispy chicken. Questioning how I could leave behind such a gem as the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit.
You may be wondering why a biscuit deserves such a long tangent. But really, I’m doing a public service to the rest of the world who has yet to experience its beauty, don’t leave it behind. We aren’t all lucky enough to be graced with a breakfast as warming as the biscuit from Whataburger. Some day, I’ll be lucky enough to make a trip back to Austin and, when I do, the first stop I’ll be making is at Whataburger for the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit.
