Beyoncé’s album just came out and if you’re like me you are having a hard time figuring out the best way to express your deep affection for her latest creation. Well, here’s the answer: a list of the perfect lemonades to drink for each song on Queen Bey’s new Lemonade album.
1. Pray You Catch Me – Original Lemonade
This song is really refreshing in a clean way just like regular lemonade. Grab a good self help book and your lemonade while you listen to this song.
2. Hold Up – Lemonade with Coconut Rum
If Beyoncé didn’t make this song in the Caribbean then I’m confused because it has an island beat and vibe. Coconut Rum Lemonade would be perfect for drinking on the beach while listening to this song.
3. Don’t Hurt Yourself featuring Jack White – Spicy Cayenne Shandy
This song has Jack White in it so it’s good but a little cray just like Spicy Cayenne Shandy, which should be wrong but is so right.
4. Sorry – Skinny Spiked Lemonade
Beyoncé is hella unapologetic about her man annoying her in this song and you can be too while you drink this boozy drink on a night out with the girls.
5. 6 Inch featuring The Weeknd – Dirty Cherry Lemonade
If Beyoncé’s goal with this song is to make every girl feel like a boss then she is succeeding. Drink this drink with no care because you are a powerful boss in your six-inch heels. Also, this song sounds like it’s going to be a party hit and nothing says party like spiked lemonade.
6. Daddy Lessons – Smoked Lemon Whiskey Sour
This song has some serious southern/old western vibes so it only makes sense that this song deserves a smoked lemon whiskey sour. Drink this while you dance in your most boss cowgirl boots.
7. Love Drought – Mint Lemonade
Queen Bey could really use a fresh start in this song and nothing is fresher than mint lemonade. Enjoy this on a rainy day to really feel like you’re cleansing yourself and getting a fresh start.
8. Sandcastles – Ginger Lemonade
This song is pretty somber so have a nice cry while you drink a ginger lemonade. It’ll be fairly sweet, which will hopefully be enough to lift your spirits—try to avoid crying into your lemonade, though.
9. Forward featuring James Blake – Long Island Iced Tea Lemonade
This song starts off and for the most part is pretty chill, but at the end there is a twist and the tone changes. A Long Island Iced Tea Lemonade will pretty much be the same experience.
10. Freedom featuring Kendrick Lamar – Fireball Pink Lemonade
This song is FIRE so it’s only appropriate to have Fireball pink lemonade while you listen. Just please try not to literally catch on fire from all of the hot perfection around you.
11. All Night – Pink Lemonade Mojito
This song is really cute and you can just sit back and enjoy it without much work. Pink lemonade is (probably) the cutest drink to ever exist. It’s also just as relaxing and simple as this song.
12. Formation – Spicy Tabasco Lemonade
For all of the people who’ve got hot sauce in their bag (swag). This is the perfect blend of spicy and sweet. Besides, you’re not afraid of spiciness because you slay.
13. Lemonade – Honey Lemonade
This is the video portion of the album and it is one big southern poem. Beyonce talks to you in her silky voice and gives the most beautiful lemonade directions that I’ve ever heard. Tbh, all of the imagery beautifully depicts the history of Louisianna and other black parts of the south. The whole thing made me want to have some lemonade and biscuits and honey so I compromised with Honey Lemonade.
Try all of these lemonade recipes (when you’re 21 for some of them). Don’t forget to listen to Beyoncé’s Lemonade album because every song is kind of amazing and the video part is an actual experience.
