With Halloween just weeks away, it’s obvious everyone’s gotten into the spooky spirit. From horror movie watch parties to planning costumes, Halloween brings a scarily fun vibe for everyone to participate in, especially food brands. To start off the spooky month the right way, Paris Baguette launched all the treats to keep your sweet tooth satisfied. On October 1, the bakery announced the return of its limited-time Halloween menu, featuring fan favorites and a new creation.
What’s on Paris Baguette’s Halloween menu?
Available only during the month of October, Paris Baguette’s Halloween menu features four treats — two cakes and two donuts. I️ was given the opportunity to try the Halloween menu and the best way to describe the treats is light and airy. These are the fluffiest desserts, I’ve ever had down to the frosting and filling. Let’s get into the specifics.
Starting off with the cakes, Paris Baguette brought back the Jack-O-Lantern Cake and added a haunting new cake.
The Chocolate Chiffon Jack-O-Lantern Cake is by far the prettiest cake I’ve laid my eyes on, and I’m not saying that as a chocoholic. It’s a bright orange to resemble a Jack-O-Lantern. That orange frosting surrounds the bakery’s Chocolate Chiffon cake layered with a soft vanilla cream. Cutting into the cake, you’re met with a sweet surprise: a candy corn-filled center. The candy corn was a bit of a miss for me, but I️ appreciated the cute visual.
The new cake on the block is the Vanilla Scream Ghost Cake. It’s eerily white and decorated with dollops of ghosts and spiders. The soft cake is Paris Baguette’s Layers of Vanilla Sponge with custard cream, soft cream, and chocolate crisp pearls.
Next are the donuts: the Halloween ‘Scream’ Donut and Spider Mochi Donut.
The Halloween ‘Scream’ Donut is the bakery’s signature King Cream Donut filled with cookies and cream custard. It’s then covered in cookies and cream white chocolate and topped with chocolate cookie eyes. The donut was STUFFED with the custard, there wasn’t a bite that didn’t have this delicious cookies and cream custard. It’s the perfect donut to have while watching Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, it’s a Jack Skellington lookalike!
Back again is the Spider Mochi Donut. The donut is covered in cookies and cream white chocolate, topped with a chocolate sandwich cookie, and drizzled with chocolate spider legs. The dough here is lighter than the new donut addition. It’s the cutest spider I’ve come across.
I️f these treats don’t sound sweet enough, Paris Baguette Rewards members can also get a free pastry with any beverage purchase on Halloween, October 31.
