You might think I have a flare for the dramatic, but I swear, these mozz sticks will change your life. Let me back up first.
To say that I’m a fan of Chili’s would be an insult to both me and the organization. I love Chili’s. Chili’s is my happy place, but the funny thing about it is, I don’t often go. In fact, I haven’t been inside of a Chili’s in probably a decade. It’s sort of like that sentiment that home isn’t one place but wherever your soulmate is. For me, Chili’s is wherever the Chili’s food is at, and it’s typically at my apartment via takeout.
How do I order the Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks from Chili’s?
But if anything can get me out of my apartment, it’s the promise of a secret menu item. And after seeing how sauced-up the new Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks were from people who tried them on TikTok, I knew I needed them. But you have to order these in house and ask your server for them — they won’t be on the menu. You can order them in a three-piece, six-piece, or as a part of the Triple Dipper (my typical go-to) and just request that they be sauced in the Nashville Hot sauce.
How do the the Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks from Chili’s taste?
About five seconds into my first stretch and bite of a mozz stick, I knew these were worth the trip to the brick-and-mortar Chili’s. You think there’s no improvements that can be made to a Chili’s mozzarella stick. They are what every mozz stick wishes it could be, but often falls short of. They are crispy and flat, so well-seasoned, and always have a cheese pull that could stretch the length of the equator. But by some stroke of magic or God or Chili’s, these are actually better. The extra spicy oil the mozz sticks are tossed generously in adds just a touch of slow heat and spice and dipping them into ranch instead of marinara sauce is actual heaven.
Before I go on about the mozz sticks, let me take a second to worship the Chili’s ranch. People say it’s too thin and watery. The first is true, the second is not. The thin texture of the dipping sauce makes each dip into the ranch the perfect ratio of sauce-to-bite proportions. Despite its thinness, it still has so much cool flavor.
Okay back to the mozz sticks. I wish I had ordered more of them. I only got three, which I split, but easily could’ve ordered a six-piece as my meal and left the happiest girl in Chili’s. It’s unclear how long the chain is going to keep the secret menu option to sauce up your mozz sticks going, especially considering how it’s only something they offer for dine-in. But I do know that it is well worth the trip to your local Chili’s to try.
