The Hungover Lafayette Student’s Breakfast Guide – 2015 Edition

Nothing says Sunday mornings like waking up and realizing it’s 2pm and you haven’t eaten since Saturday at 6. The following places, all located near wherever you woke up this morning, have everything to get you ready to take on all the homework you put off.

1. Manhattan Bagel

If you or a friend is okay to get behind the wheel, Manhattan Bagel serves arguably the best bagel in Easton. Even the New York and New Jersey bagel snobs agree that the bagels at Manhattan Bagel are the real deal.

While they serve a variety of bagels and spreads, they also have a bunch of breakfast sandwich options served on their signature bagel or in a wrap. Manhattan Bagel is open from 4:30 AM to 3:00 PM (5AM to 2PM on Sundays) and is a good cure for both Tri-State homesickness and hangovers alike.

2. Tracy’s

Tracy’s is a hidden gem located just down the road from where you probably were at some point last night (think Wawa and/or CHT). Tracy’s serves delicious diner style food, including Belgian waffles and omelettes, that are the perfect cure for even the worst hangovers. Since Tracy’s is open every day of the week from 7:00 AM – 1:30, it is a necessary stop any day of the week.

 3. Mojo Hill

The closest bacon, egg, and cheese to campus, Mojo is the perfect go-to after a long night of dancing and drinking. After you’ve got your carb fix, Mojo offers a wide variety of smoothies that are the perfect way to get your day going. Beware though, Mojo is a yummy trap for all your flex.

4. Cosmic Cup

If you have never heard of Cosmic, you are either a freshman or don’t go to Lafayette at all. Cosmic is undoubtedly one of Laf’s hotspots for great coffee and real bagels, as well as freshly baked pastries. Come to Cosmic if you are looking for a yummy pick-me-up before spending the day doing homework.

 5. Quadrant Book Mart & Coffee House

Nestled within a huge collection of books, Quadrant is a homey, eccentric cafe that serves fresh and local food. Quadrant has a variety of both breakfast and lunch food, including Belgian waffles, sandwiches, and omelettes. Plus, Quadrant is only a short walk from campus, on the circle. Quadrant is the place for you if you are craving a home-cooked meal in a cozy atmosphere.

6. Zeek’s Place

If Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives” featured the Easton area, Zeek’s Place would make the show without a doubt. Zeek’s serves an authentic Taylor Ham, egg, and cheese on a Kaiser roll, which is the star on a very impressive menu. If dessert for breakfast sounds good to you, their homemade ice cream is delicious. This local gem is located just 10 minutes from College Hill in Belvidere, NJ.
