The festival of Diwali floods everybody's hearts with all of the colours, lights and happiness of the festive season. We at Spoon DU were no different and were pleased to be a part of the Zistatva Diwali Mela 2K18 hosted by Gargi College, University Of Delhi. So gear up as we give you an insight into all of the awesomeness so that you don't miss the next edition!

1. Keeping it Quirky

The Zistatva diwali mela was super quirky this year, hosting a  number of homegrown and famous brands like Me to Myself, Fangled, Jamghaat and other college stalls selling items crafted with love and care.

2. The GRUB

Not only the was the Diwali Mela ground a treat for the eyes, but a treat for our hungry appetites too! From sweet specialities and savoury snacks to spicy bites and chatpata plates, it had it all. Stalls like Chinese Chaat (Chinese cuisine with a desi twist), Kesariya Trail, Insta famous food from IHOP, accompanied by Dr Bubbles, Brew House, Fruski, Cremeborne and countless more, to satisfy the foodie needs of all!

3. Musical Bliss

The Zistatva Diwali mela enraptured everyone with the groovy beats of DJ Anirudh and forced everyone to shake a leg. The mellifluous Arzi band drowned everyone in the euphoric bliss and harmony. The dance society of Gargi College set the stage on fire and their moves were a sight to behold!

4. Culture Corner

A hub of culture, tradition and masti - the college had mehndiwalaas, to stalls selling tribal necklaces, cocktail rings, and traditional earrings. It harboured all of the festive best in one single space.

5. SPOON Stall

Echoes of laughter and the sweet smell of freshly baked brownies surrounded the Spoon DU Stall. A string of fun challenges like Guess the Gems, Drink With a Spoon combined with the cutest giveaways a.k.a Spoon notebooks - and you know this was an objectively awesome time.
