Owned by chef Paul Wahlberg, the brother of famous actors Mark and Donnie Wahlberg (think Ted and Saw II), this popular burger restaurant turned heads with much more than just their great burgers, sandwiches, and hotdogs. Here’s why Wahlburgers attracted people from all over the south shore and beyond.
There are three options: Sit outside, sit inside, or take-out.
On beautiful summer days, outdoor seating is the best option. With clear plastic that surrounds the patio, wind is never a problem. The indoor seating is fun and surrounds the bar. When the line is out the door or you are just in a rush, take-out is a great option as well that has the same great menu.
There was a TV Show made about this restaurant.
A&E produced a TV show on the production and running of Wahlburgers. Be sure to check it out on Netflix to see the ups and downs the Wahlberg Family faces while managing a new restaurant and their star-stricken lives.
They butter the buns before they toast them.
What’s better than a buttered bun? Exactly. This small addition makes a huge difference to their burgers, giving it a richer and fuller taste.
They serve ice cream as a drink.
From mocha to chocolate strawberry, Wahlburgers has all the frappes you can think of. Made with Nona’s ice cream, which is locally made and served in Hingham and Scituate, MA, they are truly delicious and go perfect with fries.
There’s a beautiful view across the street.
Long line at Wahlburgers? Beautiful summer day? Don’t have too much time? Take-out your order and sit on a bench near the water. The boats floating in and out of the harbor create a soothing, and also romantic, atmosphere.
They sell merchandise.
You know a place is legit when you can buy a t-shirt and pint glass after your meal. Your memories at Wahlburgers will be so great you’ll have to take home a souvenir.
On top of all these perks, Wahlburgers is bound to impress. Not only is it famously owned, but it has great beef burgers and sandwiches that will make your taste buds go wild. From “The Melt” with caramelized onions, bacon, and cheese on top, to a “Classic Burger” with their famous Wahl sauce, you’re sure to find something you’ll enjoy.
